Lyndsay wants people to get a sense of who she is and what she believes in through her artwork. Her passions and values have shaped who she is today. She’s an artist, a musician, a gamer, and an open-minded individual. The designs she’s created have been an outlet for her to express herself, while also communicating and connecting with others.
While coming up with Unfiltered Apparel, I had this vision of creating clothing designs that could convey emotion and allow for honest expression. I’ve always loved wearing T-shirts with lyrics or quotes that I related to - so I took inspiration from that concept. There’s something special about wearing something that feels meant for you.
Women in Music Zine
I asked women to answer this question: “What’s something that’s been said to you that made you feel inferior as a woman in music?” I collected responses with the goal of sharing peoples’ stories and bringing attention to a common issue. As a woman who has written music & played live shows for years, I have experienced microaggressions and comments that made me feel like I didn’t belong in the music scene. I knew I wasn’t the only one who felt this way, so I wanted to hear from other women who have been through similar situations to highlight this ongoing problem.
Flowers for Vases Campaign
I designed a campaign for Hayley William’s newest album titled “Flowers for Vases/Descansos.” I took inspiration from the softness of her voice and the music, while also capturing the personal and heavy lyrical content of the songs.
I created the display typeface “Modika” using a grid, focusing on squared corners and blocky/bold lettering. My goal was to make it an equal combination of both quirky and structured.
